It’s a common scenario where people try in vain to find a free reverse phone lookup service. Unfortunately, the only information people find is the kind they have to pay for. Now that you know there aren’t any free lookup services I’ll try and explain why this is the case. Once you understand the reason why they aren’t free you can quit wasting your time looking for something that doesn’t exist.
Phone companies provide access to their databases for a fee. Reverse lookup services access this data and provide to you for a cost. Fees are charged to any reverse telephone lookup service accessing these databases. Add the cost of aggregating the data and profit margins and the end result is the cost you and I pay to get this information. Many people looking for reverse lookups don’t understand that cell phone numbers and unlisted phone numbers are only traceable using a reverse lookup service. The White Pages won’t help at all.
The one thing to look out for when doing a reverse lookup is that the pay as you go type cell phones don’t register with this service. Not to fear though, a majority of people don’t use these types of phones.
If you are in need of using a reverse telephone lookup service don’t waste your time searching for a free service to provide you with the information you want because it doesn’t exist. If the unknown number calling you is from a cell phone or is unlisted the only way to get the owner’s name, address, etc. is to use a reverse call service and pay the fee.
